We’re incredibly lucky to have found such a versatile and welcoming location in which to house Green Tree Arts Studio. But while the uses of the space are many, one thing remains the same: the space is yours. Whatever you need it for – peace, inspiration, collaboration or support – we’ll give you as much or as little as you need.
Art Studio Workshop
Whether you need somewhere to hold a one-off creative workshop, a regular group meeting or you simply need to make use of a different kind of space; Green Tree can help. Perhaps you require more of a ‘hands-on’ approach in terms of organisation and promotion of your creative activity, which will then free your time up for your own day-to-day creativity: we offer a range of collaborative support for your project or event.
The 36msq (387ft) workshop is available for either individual or group use. There are several easels, tables and benches. The room has good, natural light; there is a large double sink and some storage space. The room also houses a large log burner (sofas and additional chairs can be provided for more informal purposes).
Our versatile exhibition space can be used for many types of event or purposes such as a pop-up exhibition space. Since one of our main aims at Green Tree is to provide support for both established and emerging artists, we’ll also happily help you promote your exhibition; after all, you want as many people as possible to enjoy the fruits of your hard work!
This 64msq (688ft) exhibition room is available for daily, weekly or weekend hire; and refreshments and catering can be arranged with prior notice for an additional charge. This space also provides an excellent meeting room facility. It’s available with or without furniture (furniture available includes: a selection of tables, benches, sofas, coffee-table and tea/coffee making facilities).
Our communal kitchen space is ideal for workshop participants or those hiring rooms to continue the exchange of ideas; providing a wonderful atmosphere of innovation and inspiration. Think Paris in the ‘20s only with a Highland twist! This room is also a comfortable waiting area for parents or others waiting while their child attends a session.
The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, sink area, tables and chairs, sofa and all the pans, cutlery and cooking utensils you’ll need for an enjoyable visit.
If you are using one of our studio rooms or attending a workshop you can book into our self-catering accommodation which is available in the adjacent to the school house so you need never be too far from the studios.
We have a twin room en-suite and a double room with private bathroom available.
If we happen to be fully booked or you need accommodation for a larger group, you can find alternative accommodation options here:
The studios are surrounded by natural woodland and opportunities to work outside in this beautiful environment can be arranged with notice – depending, of course, on our famous Scottish weather!
